University of Oxford 7T MRS Depression Study
The relationship between metabolic syndrome and brain biochemistry in people with depression
The 7T MRS study was researching the relationship between metabolic syndrome and brain biochemistry in people with depression. They needed to recruit adults aged 18-70, diagnosed with depression, to take part in the study.
As the study involves a brain scan at an in-person site visit, we made sure to only show ads to people living within a reasonable radius of John Radcliffe Hospital.
We ran ads on Meta and Google. Using our dedicated reporting dashboards, we could see that both Instagram and Facebook had the lowest cost per acquisition. Instagram, in particular, had a very strong conversion rate, with 50.33% of people clicking on the ads going on to express interest.
