Swinburne University Body Dysmorphic Disorder Research Study
Testing a new treatment for body dysmorphic disorder
We worked alongside Swinburne University of Technology to drive recruitment for their body dysmorphic disorder research project. They were looking for people with Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) who's symptoms have not improved with treatments. The project was testing a new treatment for BDD. The potential new treatment required participants to take either intranasal oxytocin or a placebo daily for 6-weeks.
We built campaigns to target adults living with BDD, who are right handed and within a 75km radius of the study site.
Across the full campaign, the ads were seen on 525,114 occasions. The results were strong, with 938 people expressing interest in the trial. Instagram was the standout platform, with a conversion rate of 33.85%.
