University of Oxford DIME Depression and Diet Study
Investigating the impact of changing diet on depression
The DIME study aimed to find out whether changing diet can improve symptoms for people suffering with depression.
The team were looking for volunteers, aged 18-65, to participate in a 6-week diet programme that with support from a dietitian. They needed to have a diagnosis of depression, and to have tried at least two types of antidepressants.
Having supported multiple mental health and wellbeing trials over the years, we were confident in our strategy for this recruitment campaign. We ran ads on Meta and Google, showing the ads over 500,000 times. Our campaign helped the study team enrol 88 participants.
