Washington State University NAS Caregiving Addiction Study
Caregiving in opioid addiction and pregnancy
Washington State University researchers wanted to speak with pregnant women receiving opioid agonist therapy. The research team is testing whether caregiving education videos would improve maternal-infant health outcomes after birth.
To take part, participants needed to be a woman in the second or third trimester of pregnancy, enrolled in opioid agonist therapy, and living in Washington State. We could use geographic, demographic and interest-based targeting to find relevant people who might be interested in the research.
The campaign was successful. Across Google, Facebook and Instagram our ads sent 239 interested participants to the study team, helping them meet recruitment for a hard-to-reach population.
