King's College London PTSD in T1D Survey Study
Understanding the relationship between type 1 diabetes and mental health
This project by King's College London aimed to investigate the prevalence, predictors, and impact of PTSD on diabetes self-care.
To take part, participants needed to be adults with a diagnosis of type 1 diabetes. They didn't need to have a formal mental health diagnosis and could live anywhere in the United Kingdom.
We set up a bespoke advertising campaign on Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Reddit for 16 weeks. We were really pleased that the study team reported over 6000 responses--their target was just 384. This came from a strong conversion rate average of 19.71%, reaching as high as 39.29% on Instagram.
