We are looking for healthy volunteers to participate in a new RSV Human Challenge study, which will take place at the Imperial Clinical Research Facility at the Hammersmith Hospital in London where you will be deliberately given respiratory syncytial virus and may develop cold-like symptoms.

If you are eligible you will be paid up to £2,700, depending on your study group, for your time and inconvenience.

Why are we doing this study?

Human challenge studies allow us to better understand the respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) as we expose volunteers to the virus at a specific time and gather very detailed information about the infection.

Who can take part?

Healthy older adults aged between 65-75 years.

What’s involved in the study?

This study involves an 11-day quarantine stay at Imperial Clinical Research Facility (ICRF), Hammersmith Hospital
You will be deliberately given respiratory syncytial virus and may develop cold-like symptoms
There will then be 3 follow up visits over 3 months
Volunteers will be paid up to £2,700 depending on their study group for their time and inconvenience, if eligible
