Researchers at Vrije Universiteit Brussels are running the PEEP study to better understand pain and sleep problems in children who have had cancer. The responses we collect will help us to improve cancer aftercare for children in the future.

In this study, children aged 6–12 who have had cancer and are no longer in treatment are being compared with children of the same age who haven't had cancer.

Who can take part?

Your child may be eligible to take part if they:

  • are aged 6 to 12

  • live in Belgium or the Netherlands

  • have had cancer

  • are no longer receiving treatment

What's involved?

If they decide to take part, your child will be asked to:

  • complete one online questionnaire (about 20 minutes)

  • wear a small sleep watch on their wrist for 2 weeks

  • fill in a short online sleep diary, once a day, for the same 2 weeks
