Department for Education What Works in SEND Education Study
Surveying state schools in the United Kingdom about SEND support
The What Works in SEND project aimed to understand SEND support in state school. The findings from the research will be used to inform schools and the Department for Education to help improve support for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. Researchers needed to reach as many schools as possible, quickly and effectively. Only one survey could be filled in per school, and it had to be done by a SENCO or senior leader.
By using a digital marketing campaign on Meta, one of the most used social media platforms globally, we were able to reach over 200,000 relevant people in just four weeks. Of these, nearly 7,000 clicked on the ads to find out more, and 466 people started the survey, a strong conversion rate considering the niche eligibility criteria.
