Support for parents & carers of children with intellectual disabilities
Support for parents & carers of children with intellectual disabilities
Researchers are testing a digital family support program called Stepping Stones Online to find out if it helps improve behaviour and emotional difficulties in children with intellectual disabilities.
If you're interested in taking part, click below to fill in a short expression of interest form.

Support for parents and carers can vary across the UK and it may even be difficult for some families to access support. We would like to find out if Stepping Stones Online can support and empower you as a parent or carer by giving you the confidence and skills to manage behavioural and emotional problems.

What's involved
If you complete the screening process and are eligible for the study, you'll be asked to provide written consent to take part. You'll then be asked to complete a set of questionnaires about you, your family and your child.
You'll then be randomised into one of two groups. Half of study participants will be given access to Stepping Stones Online, and the other half will receive their usual support. This will help us measure the effectiveness of Stepping Stones Online.
