The PRADAM study is looking for people who are feeling well and thinking about stopping antidepressants. Join this important research.

We are looking for volunteers who would like to help us understand what happens when antidepressant medications are stopped. You may be eligible to take part if you:

Are between 18 and 64 years old

Have recovered from depression

Are still regularly taking antidepressant medication

Are willing to come to UCL for two whole days

Have no unremovable magnetic parts in your head

What's involved?

Registration & screening
Fill in a short online form and some questionnaires. We'll check if you're eligible and get in touch.

Online Computer Tasks
Complete simple game-like computer tasks and questionnaires at home. These help us understand how you learn and how you're feeling.

Come to UCL for two whole-day study visits
On each of the visits, you will have brain scans and be given a specific diet for the day.

Stop your antidepressants
You will gradually reduce and then stop your antidepressant medication.

Follow-up
Over 6 months, stay in touch with the dedicated research team to monitor for depression relapses.

Time commitment
2 whole days plus 3 hours over the course of 6 months

Compensation
You will be compensated for your time, receiving up to £250.
